This chapter was planned as a shared effort with Mimma Peron, who died on 22 May 2000. All the underlying theoretical and experimental work was carried out together with her: without her this chapter could not have been written, although she was not able to participate in its final draft. For the same reason she is not responsible for any errors, mistakes and inaccuracies that may be found in the text.
