ThirtyyearsagoAlbertEllis,thefounderofrationalemotivebehaviour therapy(REBT),publishedabookentitledHowtoMasteryourFearofFlying (1977).Inthisbookhedescribedhowheovercamehisownfear,inparticular the'awfulnessofdying'usingREBTprinciples.Sincethattime,REBThas flourishedanditisnowpractisedallovertheworld.Beinganactivedirective shorttermtherapywhichcanbeusedwithindividualsandgroups,itisideally suitedtothetreatmentofafearofflying.
