Summa or Polemic?

The systematic presentation of the Dionysian corpus suggests that its author intends a planned and comprehensive exposition of some aspect or aspects of Christian doctrine. That is, it appears to be a summa. The key adjectives here are ‘systematic’ and ‘comprehensive’. One must ask whether Dionysius claims this, and if so, whether his claim is justified.
