ABSTRACT
In Chapter 8 we looked at selection of the project manager and the sponsor’s leadership of the top half of the project hourglass, the client organization. These are the essential leadership tasks that the sponsor is responsible for. In this chapter we will focus on the neck of the hourglass and discuss the relationship between Project Sponsor and project manager and the qualities and behaviours that the Project Sponsor should be looking for in the project manager.
