ABSTRACT
Organization structure provides the basic context and framework within which the process and practice of management takes place. Structural choices will have a direct impact on the character of that management activity, and on its effectiveness. This chapter describes some of the key determinants and components of organization structure. It analyses a variety of different types of organization structure, and comments on some of their advantages.
