ABSTRACT
In this chapter we describe the setting - Bangladesh - and the history of Dhaka and the slum settlements. We then go on to the livelihoods approach and describe the methodology in detail Population structure, marital patterns and family structure are also included. We then go on to the Livelihoods Approach and describe the methodology in detail.
