ABSTRACT

Wasting was more prevalent among older girls compared to older boys. Logistic regression results show that females are better nourished compared to boys. Female headed households have less stunted children, but more wasting compared to male headed households. Children in the age group 24-59 months are more likely to be stunted, but show less wasting and more underweight children compared to the younger age group (3-23 months). Beri Badh had the worst stunting and underweight children of areas covered. Financial deficit households are more likely to be stunted, more likely to be wasted and more likely to be underweight. In conclusion, undernourished children were related to demographic, economic, social and environmental factors.
