ABSTRACT

This chapter is not about leadership per se. There are many great books on leadership already and many of them deal extensively with what leadership is and is not. For us, leadership can be many things. We write and run our leadership exercises to reveal and explore the following facets: vision, values, influence, flexibility, motivation, supporting others and gaining their support, behaving with personal authenticity and clear communication to the team of all of the above. The development of leadership potential is clearly more than this tokenistic list, but this gives a flavour of the ethos with which we approach our learning designs.
