ABSTRACT
The subject of this· paper is the potential roles of land-use planners from a Swedish perspective and the planning profession as part of an interactive system of professions. The focus is on comprehensive land-use planning activities at the municipal level as they relate to sustainability, and in particular on the different professional groups in local government that handle matters associated with land-use planning.
