ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we explore theories concerning human judgment. At the conclusion we will look at a model of good judgment consisting of two parts: an intellectual part and a motivational part. This model is useful as a way to apply to aviation what scientists have discovered about human judgment. By dividing the task into these two aspects, one can see how each can be taught and evaluated in pilots.
