Mydistemper164atthefirstmadeDrWright,myphysician,believeIwoulddie,but itpleasedGodbyhismeanstosavemylife,yetwhenIwasashethoughtalmost pastdangerthatbarbarousandunheard-ofwickedactionofbeheadingKingCharles thefirstwasofasuddentoldme,whichdidagainendangermeforIhadagreat abhorrenceofthatbloodyact,andwasmuchdisorderedatit....thoughIhadfor sometimebeforemyillnessmuchtroubledmyselfwiththegreatapprehensionsI hadofdeath,yetwhenIknewIwasinsomedangerofitIfoundthatfearmuchto gooff,andwasabletosay,'ItistheLord,lethimdowhatseemsgoodinhiseyes,' andwasinsomemeasureresignedtoGod'swillforlifeordeath.
