ABSTRACT
This study focuses on the verbal communications of railway personnel in safety-critical roles. These include primarily signallers, drivers, despatch staff at stations, and key workers on the track, notably the jobs of Controller of Site Safety (COSS), Engineering Supervisor (ES) and Person In Charge of Possession (PICOP).
