ABSTRACT

A game is often said to be ‘life as if’ or ‘a draft for life’. Games create a model world, allowing people to enter various life situations that are otherwise not accessed by them, to experiment with various situations or roles and to explore their reactions to new situations. A game takes participants to an unusual world, with which they have very little familiarity. A game should create a special environment. Development of Skills: Social skills, creative skills, intellectual skills, emotional skills and physical skills. Outdoor games: Games can be run in wilderness settings as well as in the country. These games require participants to face situations in which they compete against themselves. Staged games represent the core activities encountered by participants on Vacation School Lipnice (VSL) courses. The game requires full physical and intellectual involvement of the participants and has a winner.
