When you have an agreed corporate agenda and an understanding of the current business status, there is sufficient information to start looking at how the sustainability performance of existing business processes can be improved through reduce waste and costs through engaging people. The Lean improvement approach is adapted to become the sustainability improvement process (see Figure 15.1).
