ABSTRACT
There are different mechanisms by which social workers can be held accountable to service users and carers, colleagues and the wider society for their actions. This activity focuses on exploring those mechanisms through which accountability can be made effective. Held to account can be completed by a practice teacher and student jointly, or by a
group of practice teachers and students. A group of students who are placed in different kinds of setting produces a variety of perspectives.
