ABSTRACT
Thresholds, a term highlighted by Katharina Rennhak in Genette’s writings, is the common theme of all the projects in this section. Thresholds are essential for the concept of mediating, but they are not stable and essential entities in themselves. They are also subject to the effects of mediating and therefore part of the discourses that they help organize – and not their ontological take-off point.
