ABSTRACT

A training consultancy based in the Midlands wins a long-term contract to run a series of programmes for retail outlets throughout the country. At the outset, the Consultancy does not have sufficient staff to handle the whole contract from its own resources. It faces a number of options:

• to use the services of independent training organizations on a third party basis

• to work in partnership with another organization to establish a joint network conforming to agreed quality standards.
