ABSTRACT

The project team needs direction, ensuring that each team member knows the why, what and how of the project. Clear instructions need to be given and drive instilled to get the work done on time and at the right cost and quality. Enter the team builder. Team builders promote harmony in the team. They are sociable and personally non-competitive. And they are supportive of all team members personally striving to keep the team unified and morale high. The team has reached synergy and is performing to a level previously considered unlikely. But there is great team cohesion to the exclusion of outside individuals. Ideas come from two of the roles in the team—the plant and the resource investigator. The finisher will look after the completion of tasks and activities ensuring that they are aware of where the project is in relation to the bar chart.
