ABSTRACT

We have described the components of the Project Supply Chain building blocks in Chapters 2 to 4, highlighting the major issues, opportunities and challenges inherent in managing a total supply chain. Now the key question is: how are these building blocks interfaced or integrated to provide the synergy for managing a total supply chain as one unit in a major project? The processes in each building block are standardised or formalised by systems and procedures of quality management and information management. The effectiveness of such systems and procedures can be achieved by using effective review and performance management processes.
