ABSTRACT

Chapter 1 was about preparing the ground for a successful business case. Chapters 2-6 were about building the framework and the substance of the argument for the best course of action. In Chapter 8 we will look briefly at pulling it all together, but in truth if you have reached this point the heart of the business case should be already there. All this good work will, however, count for absolutely nothing unless in parallel you have carried the people involved along with you. Making the case is not enough. You need to listen to your stakeholders, understand and act on their concerns, and win the argument.
