O ) läme Spirit to unfold them, and give us to underftand, or elfe they are as a fealed Book, for the Letter kületh, but the Spirit quickenethand maketh alive, arid for want of the Spi rit of God, to open this Sealed Book, makes fo many falfe inter preters of them, and many refilling them to their ownDeftru-<3ion. that never had the Spirit, the Anojnting of the holy one, which teachethus all things, who can inable us to do all things; and without him nothing at all as we ought, for without the Spi rit of God be in us, of a truth, that teacheth us to deny all ungodlynels,and worldly Lufts, and Pleafures, and Vanitys there of, and lead us into all truth • we are Blind,Miferable,and Nak ed, and the Scripture faith fome may be Preachers to others, and yet them&lves call away, and this is fure that all the World is in this State, either Sinners or SaintSj Believers or unbelievers, in Chiriftorout of Chrift; for betwixt thefe there is no medi um or middle State, it is not minded what profeflion we put on, and what People we walk with, but have we put on Chrift, and walkwithrhim,and our Garments Clean, unfpoted, from the Pollution,of the Worlds for though there be thoufands and milions of People, and many forts of Profeflors crying up, Lo here is Chrift, and lo there,ana all ready to fay Chrift is in us,the hope of Glory, and we are his People, theChuich of Chrift, is Chrift divided, how can this beywhen he and his Church are but one, his beloved.Spoüfe is Ingrafted, Knit, and foynedunto him, all. bis Saints anahe areone, and cannot be feparated or undone, and all forts of Religion or People whatever, yet there is but two Spirits in the World, nor never was, nor never will be, the Spirit * , of God, and the Spirit of the Devil,the good Spirit, and the bad, the Children of Light,& the Children of Darknefs, 8c let us all: profeß what we will,yet we are one of thefe that hath either the good or evil Spirit in us,-either Children of Light, or Children of
