ABSTRACT

The aim of this chapter is to enrich experiential possibilities in ordinary rural landscapes by broadening landscape perceptions and narratives. To think selfconsciously within the domain usually inhabited by poetic souls, as suggested by the words ‘ineffable’, ‘ethereal’, and ‘evanescent’. There is a certain magic, an indefiniteness, to these words and the experiences that they denote. They exist between the world of myth and fact.
