ABSTRACT

Introduction This chapter opens with an example to show how the images can be selectively used by people in different roles to help make sense of their own situations and the action needed. In essence, the idea of selective use is about deliberately ‘calling upon’ different images as and when needed, and we illustrate this by showing how they can operate in a similar way to Edward de Bono’s Six Thinking Hats®. Also included in this chapter are some general guidelines and some brief reflections for the reader to think about in relation to their own approach to thinking about projects.
