ABSTRACT

Hyperthinkers are people who want to change the world by adapting their own individual mindsets to the new realities of our times. It is the convergence of these two intellectual currents that makes the hyperthinking idea so powerful: accepting reality in order to change it. As we have come to see the twenty-first century as the beginning of a new era characterised by permanent change, many of us have felt confused and deeply troubled, fearing that these changes might impose heavy demands upon us that are far beyond our

capabilities to cope with. But I have argued that when looking at the incredible opportunities that these changes represent for us as individuals, we can step back and start to see that by radically changing our mindset we can embrace this changed world and start transforming it: we can, in short, become actors in the great events that are unfolding instead of merely impotent spectators gawping hopelessly on the sidelines.
