Enhancing Global Governance: Corporate Social Responsibility and the International Trade and Investment Framework

This chapter straddles two issue areas, both of which have already contributed - and have the potential to contribute further - to processes associated with global governance. 2 The first of these issues is corporate social responsibility (CSR), which addresses the relationship and responsibilities of corporations not only to shareholders but to other stakeholders as well, particularly with respect to non-economic issues.3
