New Entrepreneurial Demands and Economic Organisation in Two Northern Italian Cities in the Late Eighteenth and Early Nineteenth Centuries

The territories of Parma and Reggio Emilia in the last decades of the eighteenth century and the restoration form the particular frame of reference for the present study. Its aim is to ascertain the presence of evolutive factors in the relationship between public and private economy and in particular to what extent the relaxation of corporate restraints made way for new entrepreneurial initiatives and new forms of economic union.
