ABSTRACT
The evolution of Green parties in Australia and New Zealand provides a unique case study that may be used to interrogate European assumptions about party typologies and ‘typical’ party forms, both of Green parties and of Green party development. This is because what are arguably the first Green parties in the world were formed in Australasia in 1972.
