ABSTRACT
The traditional view of God as atemporal, which emerged from the Middle Ages, holds considerable attraction for contemporary philosophers as well. The attraction stems from two sources. The first is respect for the philosophical theological tradition, including commitments to strong immutability and divine simplicity. The second is commitment to a static theory of time.
