ABSTRACT

When the outsourcing decision is made, most of the attention focuses on the cost savings it promises and the efficiency it will create – from the corporate vantage point. Looking from another angle, we have investigated outsourcing from the employee’s point of view, exploring the issues that surface when the outsourcing decision goes into effect. For example, what potential change scenarios do employees face, and what impact do these have on them? What regulatory protection do affected employees have? How can companies ensure employees remain committed and productive during the transition process?
