ABSTRACT
Having explored and established all parties’ motivations for undertaking the doctoral or supervisory process, we now turn to exploring what each party will expect from the process itself and from each other. Through a process of understanding, articulation and discussion, we believe that the various elements of the supervisory relationship can build a designed alliance which benefits all parties.
