ABSTRACT
Poems on Several Occasions, By Philomela (Wing R2062) is reproduced, by permission, from the copy in The Henry E. Huntington Library (shelfmark 58251). The text is an octavo volume with a text block size of 152 mm × 83 mm. Three eighteenth-century portraits of the author (two of them signed) were tipped into this volume, preceding the title page, and another, which seems to have been laid in at one time, is stored separately at The Huntington. The portrait by G. Vertue that faces the title page in this copy is reproduced in Appendix B.
