ABSTRACT

To be a Christian means having faith. This is because there is a Christian gospel, a message, that originates in God, and being a Christian involves accepting this message. This acceptance includes not just believing the contents of the message to be true, but also holding that the message comes from God, and accepting it on account of its coming from God. This book will attempt the task of answering the question: what is the rational motivation that leads Christians to accept the Christian gospel? If it is successful in this attempt, it will turn out to have also furnished an answer to the question: what is the nature of Christian faith?
