ABSTRACT
Data that fed into an understanding of the contemporary situation regarding disaster management in archives, libraries and museums in the UK was acquired from a variety of sources. This included the literature, organisational, institutional and news websites, personal contacts, attendance at seminars and conferences, an e-mail survey of regional museum, library and archive councils and their national counterparts, a questionnaire survey and interviews.
