ABSTRACT
Throughout the book issues relating to various aspects of disaster management have been identified and discussed. Lesson learned by those in a range of roles involved in disaster management have been incorporated in that. This chapter, based on findings of the research project, and activity since it was completed, summarises key achievements and then moves on to identify aspects of disaster management that need be addressed in planning future activity relating to archives, libraries and museums. Recent and current initiatives are provided as examples of what can be achieved.
