That takes careful planning and this should be built into the HR change programme right from the beginning. You are asking your people to operate in an environment that places very different demands on them. Recognising this and carrying out a skills audit early on to identify who best fits where in the new model is essential. Once the right people are in the right place, it is vital that they are upskilled for their new roles and career paths for the new world are created. Any gaps should also be identified early on and an internal (from outside of HR)/external hiring process initiated that will bring in the right sorts of people with the right skills, values and behaviours for your organisation.
