ABSTRACT

Most HR departments are involved in a talent management project of some kind. Talent management is an area that has caught people’s interest and particularly so now. Despite this ongoing activity, most companies remain concerned about the quality and quantity of their HR talent. We began to wonder why this was when there are so many companies running talent management projects:

The responsibility for finding a solution lies at HR’s door and the main reason companies still lack the talent they need is because HR is not yet able to balance the different activities that talent management requires.
