ABSTRACT

Frank Hoban has spent more than forty years in the aerospace industry. He was born in Minersville Pennsylvania. He joined the US Army serving as a paratrooper with the 82nd and 11th Airborne Divisions. Frank went to school at Parks College of Aeronautics near St. Louis and graduated in 1960. He met his wife Mary Louise at nearby Fontbonne College. Parks is now part of St Louis University. He worked at an airport near William and Mary College in Virginia where he got an MBA. He then joined the Peninsula Airport Commission as its Assistant Executive Director. In 1963 he left airport management for the challenge of National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) at its headquarters in Washington. This was an exciting time to be involved in the aerospace sector and Frank rapidly rose to meet the challenges of his new environment.
