ABSTRACT
The performance of the military pilot is based upon decisions made in dynamic situations under time stress as well as psychological stress, and the complexity of synthetic information is often very high. The consequences of his/her decisions are extensive and will be even more extensive as a function of the weapon systems development. The pilot has to make important decisions during suboptimal circumstances with respect to the vulnerability of his/her mental processes (Angelborg-Thanderz, 1989).
