ABSTRACT

Collaborative project management is where the success of the project deliverables and project management processes hinges on how teams work together. There is emphasis on knowledge sharing, cross-functional involvement, common goals, delegated authority for decisions and team ownership. The team thrives on communication and team members work in partnership with subject matter experts and the project manager to solve problems. It is the opposite of the command-andcontrol management model where the project manager decides the direction of the solution and plan and then directs the team to deliver to that solution.
