ABSTRACT

Terrorism has existed, in one form or another, in many societies for as long as history has been recorded. The differences between its various mani festations, however, have been as to methods, means, and weapons. As the means available to inflict significant damage to society improve, the harmful impact of terrorism increases. And as weapons of mass destruction become more accessible, the dangers to the world community increase.
