ABSTRACT

China, a country with a population of 1.3 billion, has a great surplus of human resources but a comparative shortage of natural and economic resources per capita. The problem of employment has always been plaguing the social and economic development in China. With the deepening of the economic system change and structural adjustment, the mismatch between employment and unemployment has grown more prominent and become one of the most challenging problems in contemporary China as well as in the future. The present employment pressures mainly come from four sources.
