ABSTRACT

The delivery of Chinese city and regional plans is operated through the development planning management process, which is the main task of the bureau of planning administration in local governments. A bureau of planning administration of a municipal or a county government is authorized by the City and Countryside Planning Act 2008 to intervene in urban development by the power of development planning management guiding by statutory city and countryside plans. This power refers to the administration of the formulation of plans and their approval process, and assessment and approval of the application for planning permits for a development project.
