There seem to be few things in the world today that are as ubiquitous as boundaries and borders. A referee steps in when the soccer ball goes out of bounds. A space shuttle approaches the boundary of the atmosphere. A refugee huddles in a border camp. A two-year old child learns about limits, while a ten-year-old sibling dreams of exploring the frontiers of space.
