Which view of our city do you like best? From the sea as you approach it from a distance on board ship? That is how we see it at its most imposing. There is an engraving of it like this, one come down to us from an eighteenthcentury traveller, a foreigner who viewed it from this side, seeing it the way it was then under Turkish rule with quite a number of minarets.
