ABSTRACT
Sumba is generally considered to be an outstanding example of an area where the Indonesian textile tradition has reached its peak. The rich colours, the vivid motifs and the overall designs create a visually exciting art form. Also the skilfully employed techniques of both ikat and supplementary warp weave make the textiles exceptionally interesting.
