ABSTRACT
The shrinkage of international borders in both a physical and virtual sense opens up new questions, challenges and possibilities for the development of an internationalised social work (Dominelli. 2000). The movement of people and ideas within and between countries requires those working in personal social services to understand how their work is both informed by and informs issues that spread beyond local and national limits.
