ABSTRACT

As we saw in the Chapter 1, RSS newsfeed readers save you time when reading blogs by puĴing all the blog content in one place. Similar solutions have been developed for other types of social media. These solutions are generically called social media aggregators. To date, social media aggregators have tended to work for social and professional networking sites, and some content distribution sites, but not for other types of social media such as wikis and virtual worlds. An expansion of compatibility into these other types of social media is likely to occur in the future, and maybe by the time this book is published.
