ABSTRACT
The past thirty years has seen enormous changes in the aviation industry. These changes encompass both hardware and liveware areas of the industry. The net effect is a dramatic shift in the way that aircrew are expected to go about their business. Arguably they do have more advanced equipment with which to complete their tasks and therefore can be asked to operate to far more exacting tolerances with a greater degree of safety.
