ABSTRACT

Why connect culture and human factors training? Are there any practical lessons to be learnt and taken into consideration through "measuring the temperature" of the organization before "treating" its pilots? What do actually we mean by culture? Culture has a kind of''tak:en for granted" existence, you may not notice it until you are faced with a world outside of you usual cultural environment. It is a social construction, created and maintained by a group of human beings, emotionally charged and visible through attitudes and behavior. "The way things are done" and the "rights and wrongs" are compellingly obvious within the culture.
