ABSTRACT

During flight training where the appraisal of learning progress and flight performance is indispensible, the question must be raised as to how an appraisal system must be conceived to withstand such criticism. In addition, it must be ensured that flight instructors are enabled to carry out appraisals which are as valid, reliable and objective as possible. Finally, the appraisals must be unbiased in relation to the student pilot's belonging to a certain population group, such as age, gender, etc.
